Highlights: See many of the wider Richmond area’s top attractions at handle bar level on this scenic tour. Led by an expert local guide, you will experience a microcosm of British history, royal and architectural heritage, the rustic charm of open parklands, picturesque riverside and even part of the London Olympics 2012 cycling route.
In this fascinating and easy-paced day out, you will cycle past Richmond, Ham House, Teddington Lock, Kingston, Hampton Court Palace, Strawberry Hill House, Twickenham, Eel Pie Island and Marble Hill House, all linked by royal deer parks and the magnificent River Thames riverside.

Time: Depart 10.30 and return around 17.00.
Duration & Distance: 20 miles (32 kilometres). Approximately 6 hours including stops and lunch break. Typically you will be pedalling for up to 4 hours. Depart Richmond railway station 10.30 returning around 17.00
Cost: Adult £48, Senior/Student ID £45, Child 12-16 £35. Includes cycle hire. All bookings must be made in advance. Tours are limited to 12 people. Group discounts are available.

Check-in: 10.15 for 10.30 departure from Richmond railway station TW9 2NA (trains from London Waterloo, London Overground and London Underground District Line).
At Richmond Station, check-in first at the Richmond Station Cycle Centre on the platform level to collect your bike and pay the returnable security deposit.
Exception: No children under 12 years old. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and wear a safety helmet (provided).
Fitness & cycling skill requirement: You will need to be reasonably fit with some previous experience of cycling. Also suitable for more active cyclists looking for a relaxed ride.
Terrain: Generally off-road on paved paths and gravel tracks. Limited road cycling along quiet side roads or the dedicated cycling sections of other roads. Two short sections will follow roads used for cycling events during the London 2012 Olympics. There will be a limited amount of walking your bike over busier road crossings and a short easy climb in the first stage of the tour, then occasional freewheel descents.
Inclusions: Bike hire with security lock and safety helmet.
Exclusions: Food and drink, security deposit for bicycle hire.
Additional information: Between the Richmond and Teddington stretch of the Thames, the route may vary at times of exceptionally high tides when localised flooding occurs.
About the bikes: Your multi-geared hybrid bikes will be ready and waiting for you at Richmond station. These quality bikes are kept in tip top condition and come in different frame sizes and variations for males and females.
What to bring: You may wish to bring a light rucksack to carry drinking water and clothing, including waterproofs, according to the time of year and weather forecast. Don’t forget your camera.
